WHY WE’RE HERE
Our mission.
To help furries in North Georgia and across the Southeast find friendship, express themselves, feel they belong, and give back together.
We bring people together through meetups, creativity, and shared experiences, with respect, consent, and care at the heart of the community.
Giving back is part of that mission. For Furshore, our plan is to cover event costs and donate all remaining proceeds to Furkids and Lost-n-Found Youth—turning good times into a chance to do good beyond our own circle.

From Major’s first fursuit
to The Pound, and now FANG.
One connection at a time.
Major Wuff, FANG’s Founder & Acting Director, has a blue wolf at the heart of his story in the fandom.
At a furry convention, a premade blue wolf suit hanging on a vendor’s rack became his first fursuit—and a familiar face for the friendships and adventures that followed.
Behind the character was a simple wish: to find somewhere to belong. The suit was part of the story, but the people, conversations, and shared experiences gave that story somewhere to go.
The Pound began as a way to keep those connections together. Major brought people he’d met into one chat, introduced friends to friends, and gave everyone a place to turn “we should hang out” into a plan.
FANG grows out of that same idea. It gives the community a name we can keep building under, while holding on to what started it: helping people find each other—and making room for whoever comes next.

Furshore is our proposed 21+ lakefront mini-con, with friendship, creativity, and charitable giving at its heart. After event costs, all remaining proceeds would go to Furkids and Lost-n-Found Youth.
Currently an interest check. A large lakefront property is under consideration, potentially in Dawsonville or elsewhere depending on feasibility. The venue and location have not been finalized. Dates, final pricing, and practical details will follow as plans take shape.

Start as a Newpaw with your own FANG #. Reach 60 days in the group, 5,000 XP and 3 reputation to request your NFC member badge. Receiving your physical badge marks your promotion to Level 2 · Member.
How to qualify

The staff badge.
FANG staff, including community moderators, will receive a dedicated staff badge. Gold trim and clear staff lettering make the team easy to recognize.
Apply for staff on MyFANGEarned through time and participation.
Be a member of the FANG group chat and meet all three qualifying requirements:

60 days in the FANG chat
Membership time is measured from when you joined the group chat.
- 02 / XP
5,000 XP
Earn at least 5,000 XP in the FANG chat.
- 03 / REP
3 reputation
Reach a reputation score of at least 3 in the FANG chat.
Meet all three thresholds to request your NFC member badge. Your rank becomes Member when you receive the physical badge; while you wait, your profile can show your badge is pending. Your FANG # is yours from the start and stays the same as you advance. Open MyFANG to check your standing and request your badge.

- Pack Veteran status, demonstrated contributions and community leadership, and approval by FANG leadership.
- Your reward
- A personalized Distinguished badge, an annual appreciation keepsake, and one complimentary standard admission to a designated FANG event each year.
Your progress carries forward. Days, XP and reputation are cumulative, and each rank builds on the previous one. Earned ranks stay with you through periods of inactivity.
Recognition that grows with you. Rank rewards are issued once per milestone, except the annual Distinguished benefits listed above. Eligible events are announced in advance. Sponsorship and staff roles are separate; Distinguished status recognizes community leadership, with staff permissions assigned separately.

No special gear or finished character required. Come for the people, the shared interests, and the chance to get to know the community.
Do I have to live in North Georgia?
North Georgia is our home base, but our friends across the Southeast and beyond are part of this too. You’re welcome whether you’re local, visiting for an event, or joining the conversation from farther away.
I don’t know anyone yet. Where do I start?
Join the main FANG chat, introduce yourself when you’re comfortable, and take things at your own pace. You don’t have to arrive with a whole group of friends.
